In June 2018, we posted on our Grulla site a short piece around shotgun barrel manufacturing. Why are chopperlump barrels seen in old English, Spanish and German sidelocks and boxlocks so much preferred to say the monoblock system used in say a new Zoli or Chapuis?
Do we get hung up about the design used on a gun? Or does that really depend on whether you view your gun as merely a tool or something you can look at and admire also for the hand craftsmanship that it has taken to build it?
